In Memory of Oscar

We here at Island Breeze Makapala are heartbroken by the tragic news of Oscar’s passing. He had come through Camp Lokahi as a camper for many years and was a counselor for the last 4 camps we ran. Like many of you, we considered him a part of our ‘Ohana. Most recently he came up with our team to Mentasta Lake, Alaska to help run a camp (Alaska Ablaze) for teens and kids there. Per the wishes of Oscar’s mom, Olivia, we have set up this page for those who are looking to support her and her family.

In her words, “If you want to help me. Donate to one of the organizations Oscar loved. He was a camp counselor for Camp Lokahi and went to Alaska with them over the summer. He was in the Boys to Men program where he mentored. “

If you would like to make a donation to Camp Lokahi in honor of Oscar, please click on this link…and in the drop down box please select “In Memory of Oscar Culp”. Mahalo.

Here is Olivia’s original Facebook post…
